When surgery fails
In cases of surgical failure, additional options include:
- Aspirin therapy and/or desensitization
- Administration of antibiotics over longer periods by oral, nasal, or intravenous routes
- Administration of oral antifungal drugs or prolonged nasal antifungal therapy
- Additional surgery
- Irrigation with high potency nasal corticosteroids
- Oral corticosteroids
- Complementary and alternative medicine treatments
- Full allergy and immunologic evaluation and treatment
